California is arguably the epicenter for the most recent immigration trend. Families who immigrate to the U.S. struggle with their own identity, often associated with their country of origin, culture, and the expectations they face in a new country. Generations in this family conflict as one generation works to retain familiar traditions while the other works to assimilate and accommodate a new definition of success. We’re told we are the first brand to get their name embroidered on the ankle strap, so sneakerheads… that’s exciting, right? We just thought it was cool.
We licked the soles for good luck.

The accused child killer Levi Aron has reportedly told police that he took 8-year-old Leiby Kletzky to a wedding in Rockland before he murder the boy in his apartment. New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said that police believe Aron did attend the wedding but did not bring the boy.
